BPiA has organised a drop-in event in Parliament House

Details:-  Wednesday 2nd August between 10 am and noon in room R2.94.

The purpose of the event is to educate MPs about the issue of frozen pensions.

Invitations have been sent to all members of the House of Representatives and all Senators. The same invitation has been sent to everyone invited. You can read the invitation to Anthony Albanese by clicking here

Now it’s up to you all (members and non-members) to get your MP to attend.

PLEASE WRITE OR TELEPHONE OR VISIT THE LOCAL OFFICE OF YOUR MP AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO ATTEND THE EVENT.

You can say something like:

“The British government’s policy of freezing state pensions paid to people living in Australia is unfair discrimination against Australians. It affects me personally and is thus an important issue for me. British Pensions in Australia (BPiA) is organising a drop-in session to be held in room R2.94 of Parliament House on 2nd August. I urge you to attend. You will come away understanding the plight of the over 200,000 people in Australia affected by the British government’s cruel policy.”

If both you and your spouse are affected, please each write separately (the more letters the better). Please feel free to vary the words to fit your circumstances.
