The British Pensioners in Australia (BPiA) are again calling on Australian Prime Minister to urge the Government of the United Kingdom to unfreeze pension payments for UK retirees living in Australia, many of whom are poverty-stricken.
BPiA will today deliver their ‘Broken Faith’ booklet to the PM’s electorate office under cover of letter in an attempt to gather support for their cause. The booklet provides insight into the lives of veterans who live in Australia, some from WW2, who continue to suffer financially from the UK government’s refusal to pay the full pension to which they are entitled.
With the support of the Australian government, the UK Government could help boost the economy and the lives of veterans who would otherwise continue to live in poverty.
