Request for Suggestions for BPiA’s Submission to the UK Government Spending Review
HM Treasury is asking for written submissions from interest groups, individuals, Members of Parliament, or representative bodies relating to Phase 2 of the Spending Review. BPiA have received a specific request from HM Treasury to make a submission.
They have said the purpose is to provide feedback on government spending priorities and suggest policy ideas that could inform decisions about departmental budgets and resource allocation over the multi-year Spending Review period. HM Treasury welcomes comments on existing spending priorities and suggestions for new ones.
HM Treasury say they welcome representations as part of the decision-making process.

British Pensions in Australia (BPiA) intends to make a submission either in its own name or as part of a submission made by End Frozen Campaign.
Submissions must say which government department the representation relates to. The BPiA submission will relate to spending by the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP). HM Treasury will share the content of our submission with the DWP.
We welcome suggestions from BPiA members as to what should be included in our submission.
The closing date for submissions is 9th February 2025. In order that we have time to consider member’s suggestions and incorporate them in our submission, we ask that you send us your suggestions by 24th January 2025. Your suggestions should be sent to membership@bpia.org.au and should include Spending Review in the subject line of your email.
