Department of Work & Pensions confirms reciprocal agreement not needed In answer to a "Freedom of Information" request, the UK DWP has confirmed that a reciprocal social services agreement is not required to "unfreeze" UK Pensions. BPiA member Geoff Nadin, and Our President Patrick Edwards, have exchanged letters with Australian Government Ministers, Marise Payne, and Jane Hume. The Ministers assure us that the Australian Government will continue to raise the issue of frozen pensions with the UK Government, and that the Australian Department of Social Services and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade do work closely together, as they do with other government agencies.
